Three simple prayers

The devotional I read this morning (The One Year Daily Grind by Sarah Arthur, March 27th) focused on three simple prayers...three necessary prayers:
Lord have mercy
I adore you
Into your hands

These prayers were so filled with emotion....with God....for me.

Lord have mercy.... acknowledging my sin...and my fears....and my doubts...acknowledging that life can be really hard and unforgiving.

I adore you....You are worthy of praise! Even if it doesn't look like it from my point of view, You are all powerful, all present, and all loving. You hold me in the palm of your hand. You love me with an everlasting love. How could I not adore you?

Into your hands....I trust you with my life and with my dreams. You are trustworthy. I give you my fears, my pain, my worries, my joy and my sorrow. I give you all that I am. Surrender.

I need You, I claim You as 'my' God, I trust You.

I am reminded of the awesomeness of God this morning. I feel small, but I feel safe in his arms.
