Day 82 ~ October 8, 2009
This day we spent hiking the Tallulah Gorge. Oh, what a beautiful spot! We hiked the 2.5 mile trails on the north and south rims, and took the stairs to the bottom of the gorge...about 600 stairs down and then....about 600 stairs back up. But it was worth every one of them!!! This shot was taken at the bottom of the gorge. There is a waterfall (Hurricane Falls) at my back when I took this one, but this is my favorite picture of the day.

One thing I noted was how friendly everyone we met on the trail was. It was a most enjoyable day!
