Jim is holding the current copy of the Destin Log which features an article about him and fellow Coffee Master, Joe Griffin. It a great article, although the pictures were mislabeled. Jim is identified as Joe in one photo and Joe as Jim in another. The author of the article attended their final requirement to earn the status of Coffee Master, presenting a Seminar. At this Seminar they presented a new blend Jim created using current Starbucks coffees. Jim's creation is now packaged as Emerald Coast Blend and is sold in area Starbucks shops.

Mary Ann and Lew attended the Coffee Seminar that day. The author of the article quoted Mary Ann: "I used to work at the Magnoliz and Ivy Tearoom. I think my parents were afraid World War III would break out when I was working there and Jim was working here [Starbucks]." :)

We do have interesting conversations with, as we lovingly describe them, a tea snob and a coffee snob in the family. :) If you have any questions about coffee, Jim is now an excellent source of information!
